[SRWA Press Release]

Next Tuesday, November 13, 2007, the Sunset-Ridge Waterfront Alliance is hosting a lunch-cruise for local elected officials from Bay Ridge and Sunset Park, Brooklyn. The lunch is from 1:00-2:00pm. The boat will leave promptly at 1:15pm from the dock.

A brief presentation on ferry service as a viable transportation alternative will ensue, followed by an open discussion over lunch and refreshments.

The ferry will disembark from the 58th St. Pier at the Brooklyn Army Terminal and take passengers to the 69th St. Pier in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, where the proposed ferry service would be reinstated. We will then follow the normal ferry route to Pier 11, Wall Street, and return back to 58th St. Pier at the Brooklyn Army Terminal.

Manhattan guests may board the ferry at Pier 11, Wall Street, instead of 58th St. Pier in Brooklyn. Please contact for further information and exact arrival time at Pier 11.

The ferry service is provided by TWFM Ferry Service in partnership with NY Water Taxi.

Complimentary Lunch and Refreshments will be provided.
There is FREE and secured parking on the 58th St. Pier.

The attendees include members of the community in support of ferry service. Elected officials include; Council Member Gentile, State Senator Savino, Borough President Markowitz, Sara Jacobs for Assembly Member Ortiz, Ilan Kayatski for Assembly Member Brook Krasny, with more attendees pending confirmation.

The Sunset-Ridge Waterfront Alliance (SRWA) is committed to re-invigorating the waterfront area of Sunset Park and Bay Ridge, Brooklyn through creative collaboration and sustainable partnerships with the common goal of social and economic opportunities. SRWA is committed to enriching the lives of the citizens of Bay Ridge and Sunset Park, by providing greener transportation alternatives.
