The History of Ferry Service in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn
By reinstating the ferry service at 69th St. Veteran’s Memorial Pier in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn, SRWA will help to provide the following positive actions to our community:
- Ease congestion on the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway!
- Provide a transportation alternative to our subway, and express bus service!
- Offer our community a greener alternative to commuting!
- Provide a quicker commute to & from work which will translate into a better quality of life!
- Provide a way for our community to get on & off this island in times of natural or man-made disaster!
- Re-vitalize our waterfront & allow everyone to enjoy!
